Sinead

Gut-punched about Sinead. The Lion and Cobra is one of my favorite albums of all time. I was at the SNL and the Dylan show. Saw all of it. Didn’t know her as a person. But loved her as an artist. Felt deeply for her. And wished she had peace in her life.

Her memoir is disturbing but important. And makes this, if not understandable, at least comprehensible when taken with the death of her son.

She was one of the greatest musical artists of my lifetime, if we judge by the apex of an artist’s creative output.

I will listen to the first two albums tonight, quietly, and I will try to just lose myself in them and in her artistic vision and hopes for the world.
